With a few precise ingredients and good techniques, it's possible to unwind in the comfort of your own home. Here's my recipe for the perfect home spa party.
INGREDIENTS:
- a bath
- Milk powder (and pink salt diamonds if desired)
- Face masks (minimum two)
- a good movie
- A book or magazine (preferably light)
- a few candles
- Bath towel & pajamas (soft)
- Linen water
- a state of non-guilt (more difficult to find, we took it in the back of our heads next to the "I fully deserve it")
- Time (that, too, is quite rare. It's easier to find it towards the end of the week, in the "grandma can babysit" section.
PREP TIME: 10 minutes
COOKING TIME: 30 to 40 minutes
REST TIME: all evening
SERVING SIZE: One. You, than you.
That's it! We can start assembling.
Step One: First, run the medium-white water bath. Add the bath salts and stir. Add the milk powder until you get the desired texture. Reserve.
Step Two: Adopt the "multimasking" technique and apply the Mask to the dry parts of the face. Add the acne mask to reddish, irritated areas of the face. Rest.
Step three: Light two or three candles. Lavender, preferably. Drop them off very close to you. In the meantime, place a bath towel and pajamas in the dryer.
Step Four: Take the book or magazine in your hands and soak your body in the mixture of water, powder, and salt. Relax.
Step Five: Read and doze for 30 to 40 minutes easily, until the body is completely relaxed (or until the bath water becomes cold).
Step Six: Remove the water from the bath. Take the elements from the dryer and cover yourself gently. Enjoy.
Step Seven: Using a damp washcloth, remove the masks from the face, until the skin is silky smooth. If needed, add a moisturizer.
Step Eight: In another room, mix blankets and laundry water. Drop off.
Step Nine: Start your film. Fall asleep as needed.
Step Ten: Enjoy it to the fullest, think only of yourself and promise yourself that you will never wait so long again before taking a moment for yourself.
